Art Data Centres

Overview

Art Data Centers is a relatively new Irish data centre developer and operator. The company was founded in 2018 and currently has one project underway in Ennis, Ireland. Their development was approved in August 2022. Their 59-ha campus will have six 33MW, an energy centre and a vertical farm. Shortly after permission was granted, multiple third-party organisations filed appeals, claiming that the project goes against the Irish Government’s Climate Action Plan, which aims to drastically reduce emissions by 2030. Concern has also been raised over the strain the development could have on the local grid. A decision on the appeal is due in 2023.
