CyrusOne

Overview

Previously, CyrusOne was a US-based data centre REIT with operations across Europe and North America as well as partnerships with GDS in Asia and Odata in South America. It grew to become third largest data centre REIT in the US after Equinix and Digital Realty.

CyrusOne made a material expansion into Europe with the $475 million acquisition of Zenium Technology Partners in 2018, which had facilities in London and Frankfurt (having previously sold their Istanbul data centre to Equinix in 2017 for $93 million). In 2017, CyrusOne made its biggest single acquisition in the US with the purchase of two data centres from Sentinel for $490 million.

In 2022, KKR, a leading global investment firm, acquired CyrusOne in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $15 billion.
