(EITC) and founded in 2005, the company was rebranded to du in 2007. du is one of the leading telecommunications company in the UAE with main competitors Etisalat. The business also operates data centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi which provide retail as well as wholesale colocation to their tenants.

du is owned at 50.12% by the Emirates Investment Authority, 19.7% by the Emirates Communications and Technologies Company LLC, 10.06% by Mamoura Diversified Global Holding PJSC with the last 20.12% being publicly traded on the Dubai Financial market.
