DC Byte understands that VADS, formerly the data centre arm of Telekom Malaysia, has been rebranded as Telekom Malaysia.


VADS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia, coming from TM One arm. VADS was incorporated in 1990 and formed in 1991 as a joint venture between Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) and IBM Malaysia Sdn Bhd (IBM). In 1993 and 1995 respectively, Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) and The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) joined the company. VADS were listed Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in August 2002 and delisted in February 2009.


VADS provides managed network services, contact centre services and systems integration.
