Overview

Chile, with almost 20 million inhabitants, is the fifth-largest economy in Latin America and the 48th-largest in the world. It borders Argentina and Bolivia to the East, Peru to the North, and the Pacific Ocean to the West. It has become the third-largest data center industry in Latin America.

Divided into 16 regions, Santiago is its most important city, it is also the capital of the country and the city with the most infrastructure.

Chile is the only country in Latin America with its own Google Data Center located in Quilicura. There is only one new project in Uruguay of the same company that is expected to open in 2025.
