Singapore Data Centre Market Snapshot
The Singapore Data Centre market remains one of the key regional data centre hubs in APAC.
The thriving data centre market – a position boosted by elements such as its strategic location, business and political environment, amongst others – saw a moratorium put in place in 2019, with a subsequent DC-CFA (Data Centre – Call For Applications) programme awarding four data centre operators with an additional 80MW of capacity in July 2023.
In May 2024, the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) announced that at least 300MW of capacity would be provided to the Singapore market in the near future.
