Established Hyperscale Presence in Australia.

Australia stands out as one of the largest and most developed data centre markets in the Asia Pacific region, experiencing robust growth in recent years.

This growth can be attributed to various factors, including a reliable energy infrastructure, a conducive business environment, and the increasing adoption of cloud services. The year 2023, in particular, was marked by significant activity, with prominent colocation operators like AirTrunk, NEXTDC, and CDC Data Centres unveiling expansion plans across the country. These expansions aimed to cater to the escalating demands of cloud service providers (CSPs), government agencies, and enterprise clientele. Simultaneously, CSPs such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft made substantial waves in the market, announcing multi-billion-dollar investments to bolster their presence. Additionally, Australia witnessed the inauguration of new cloud regions in Melbourne and Canberra, further cementing the significance of the hyperscalers in the market.
