For the fourth consecutive year, DC Byte brought together some of the most active and influential figures in the APAC data centre industry for an evening of genuine, unscripted conversation. Held at the Singapore Cricket Club, this year’s Annual APAC Networking Event was our largest to date, welcoming over 200 guests by invitation only. The format was deliberately informal. No panels, no presentations, no agenda. Just the right people, in the right room, with the space to talk.
Why Informal Matters in a Fast-Moving Industry
The APAC data centre market moves at a pace formal conference schedules struggle to keep up with. Markets like Japan, the SIJORI Triangle, and emerging Southeast Asian corridors are evolving week by week. Investment decisions are being made faster. Relationships built over a drink, rather than a business card exchange, are increasingly what separate those ahead of the curve from those catching up.
This is the philosophy behind DC Byte’s Annual APAC Networking Event. The value isn’t in a keynote. It’s in the conversation between a data centre operator and an advisory firm that might otherwise never share a room. It’s in two investors comparing notes on a market they’re both watching closely. It’s in the introductions that lead to deals months later.
With over 200 attendees this year, up from approximately 185 in 2025, the event continues to grow because the industry recognises that value.
A Room Full of the Right People
The guest list reflected the breadth of the APAC data centre ecosystem. Operators, advisory and professional services firms, investors, and infrastructure specialists made up the majority of attendees, a cross-section of the community actively shaping how capacity is built, financed, and delivered across the region.
The Singapore Cricket Club provided a fitting backdrop. It’s a venue with heritage and character, offering both indoor and outdoor spaces that naturally encouraged the fluid, unhurried conversation the evening was designed for.
Our annual APAC get together has always been invite only. This approach is by design. There are many mass participation events in the APAC data centre industry’s calendar, and keeping the guest list focused ensures conversations stay substantive, and that attendees are genuinely peers with shared stakes in the direction of the industry.

A Talking Point of a Different Kind
This year, DC Byte introduced an AI photobooth, and it quickly became one of the talked-about elements of the evening. Guests were reimagined across three distinct visual themes: a high-fashion red carpet aesthetic, a neon Tron-inspired digital world, and the hand-painted warmth of Studio Ghibli animation, all branded with the DC Byte identity.
The photobooth wasn’t just a novelty. In an industry that spends much of its time discussing AI’s impact on infrastructure, power, and investment, there was something fitting about experiencing a small, tangible demonstration of what AI can do, and enjoying it. Reactions ranged from delight to genuine surprise, and the images circulated widely among guests throughout the evening.
It was a reminder that even in a sector as technically demanding as data centres, the human element, curiosity, humour and shared experience, is what makes a community.
Four Years Running
When DC Byte launched this event in 2023, the ambition was straightforward. We wanted to create a space that allowed the APAC data centre community to connect outside the formal conference circuit. Four years on, the consistent growth in attendance reflects how that ambition has resonated.
The industry has changed considerably over that period. AI has moved from a talking point to the dominant driver of global data centre demand. APAC markets once considered secondary have become primary targets for hyperscaler and colocation investment. The conversations happening in rooms like the one at the Singapore Cricket Club are, in many ways, a barometer of where the market is heading.
DC Byte’s role, providing the market intelligence that helps operators, investors, and developers make sense of a complex and fast-moving landscape, sits at the centre of those conversations. Events like this are an extension of that role, not just tracking the market, but being part of it.
A Big Thank You
To everyone who joined us on the night, a huge thank you. Your presence, your conversations, and your continued engagement with DC Byte make this event what it is. We’ll be back in 2027, bigger and better than ever. See you all there.
